Triple Homicide in South San Jose; Police Searching for Armed Suspect

San Jose police are investigating a deadly shooting that left two women and a man dead at a home early Tuesday morning, with the suspect still at large.
Authorities said dispatchers received multiple 911 calls just before 12:30 a.m. reporting gunfire and a woman screaming for help near the 200 block of Chynoweth Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a woman outside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. She was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries but did not survive. Inside the home, police discovered a second woman who died at the scene and a man who was also gravely wounded. The man was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
These killings bring the city’s homicide count to 21 so far this year, police confirmed.
Investigators have not yet determined the relationship between the suspect and the victims. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identities of the deceased after next-of-kin are notified.
The suspect fled the area before police arrived and remained on the run as of Tuesday afternoon.
“We want to make it clear that this was an isolated incident, so there is no threat to public safety at this time,” said SJPD spokesperson Stacie Shih. “Our homicide detectives are working tirelessly to identify and apprehend the suspect.”
