The Milpitas pho eatery where an employee was filmed hurling frozen ribs onto the pavement behind the building has permanently closed its doors.

About two weeks earlier, a social media user posted a video—now widely circulated—showing a worker at Pho Love tossing frozen ribs onto the ground outside to separate them.

County health officials later ordered a temporary closure, though not because of the video. Their inspection cited unrefrigerated chicken left out on a tray and the presence of a cockroach.

Although Pho Love was authorized to reopen last week, it chose not to. The owners said they were hesitant to resume operations due to the surge of backlash and hostile messages they had been receiving online.
