Arson investigators are investigating the cause of a fatal house fire in San Jose’s Horace Mann neighborhood on Wednesday night.

The blaze was reported at 9:36 p.m. in the 200 block of N. Seventh Street.

One person, who was declared dead at the scene, was removed by firefighters from the home, according to the San Jose Fire Department.

The fire was under control at 10:10 p.m., fire officials said on social media.
