Community Gathers to Remember Beloved Baseball Coach Killed in San Jose Crash
Family, friends, and community members came together Saturday to honor Paul Adame, a cherished baseball coach who died in a multi-vehicle crash in the South Bay.
The vigil took place at a Little League field on Cabrillo Avenue in Santa Clara. Adame, 63, lost his life in a four-car collision on April 19 along Highway 87 near Interstate 280.
His family says the loss has been overwhelming. His daughter, Raquel Adame, shared that her father was the heart of their family and that the grief they are experiencing is impossible to fully express.
Adame worked for the Santa Clara Unified School District and dedicated more than two decades to coaching with Briarwood Little League, leaving a lasting impact on countless young athletes and their families.
