If you don’t have health insurance, you still have some time to sign up.

The deadline to enroll for Covered California is late Wednesday night for coverage that begins Friday.

Open enrollment will continue through January. However, any policies started after the deadline won’t provide coverage until Feb. 1.

There are more than 1.2 million Californians who are uninsured but could be eligible.
