The Hayward BART station reopened early Friday morning, hours after it closed due to a medical emergency involving a person who entered the trackway.

Around 1:25 a.m., BART officials said the station is again accessible to commuters. The transit agency sent an alert about the closure around 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

No other information was immediately available.
