San Jose: Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit by Vehicle

A pedestrian died Monday after being hit by a vehicle in San Jose, police said.

The collision, which was reported at 12:35 p.m., happened along the 2500 block of South King Road, according to police.

The pedestrian, identified as a man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Just after 2 p.m., police said the man had been stabilized. Hours later, they said his condition deteriorated and he had been pronounced dead. 

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, police said.
