Since 1945 our Santa Clara Parade tradition has celebrated our community heroes and champions. Due to COVID-19, the continued ban on mass gatherings and safety concerns, the Santa Clara Parade of Champions nonprofit organization will be celebrating this year’s 2020 Parade Program virtually online and from the safety of their homes, businesses and organizations. There are several different ways to participate.

It’s been an unprecedented year and we want to capture it on Video. This is a year for the history books and one which we will all be looking back on often. To honor is to remember, so this 2020 we want to thank our Community and Frontline Heroes who have kept us supported, safe and healthy during this pandemic in a BIG way. 

To have your video be featured in our SC Virtual Parade of Champions festivities, we ask all organizations, businesses and individuals to submit a 15 second to 1-minute video. It can be a zoom concert, a past or current performance, or a fun skit to a simple heartfelt community message thanking our heroes. It’s your masterpiece. The Virtual parade program is open to Bay Area residents, but please no political or controversial content. 

To help you show off your community spirit, we will also be hosting a friendly competition—a City-Wide Decoration Contest! The theme is Heroes. All Santa Clara residents, organizations and businesses are invited to decorate their porch, front yard, doorways and windows and submit their photos of their displays online. We will provide the lawn signs and assign you # once you register. Tell all your friends to VOTE for your Display #. Winners will be chosen in 5 categories. We will have a People’s Choice Category as well, so vote for their favorite online. The winners will be featured in our Virtual Parade program. There will be prizes, surprises and bragging rights. 

We encourage you to take Selfies and post on Social Media, tag us with #LoveSantaClara #SCParadeofChampions #SantaClaraStrong or community hashtags of your own. We want all our Community and Frontline Heroes to see how much they are appreciated.
