Teen injured in Oakland shooting

Oakland police are investigating a shooting that left a teen injured on Saturday.

At about noon Saturday, officers were sent to the 1900 block of 83rd Avenue to investigate an alert from the city’s automated gunfire detection system.

When they arrived, officers found a teen who had been shot at least once.

The victim was taken to a hospital by paramedics and listed in critical condition.

No arrest has been announced in the case and the victim’s name is being withheld because of their age.
