The Paris Olympics are quickly approaching, and two more athletes from the Bay Area secured their spots at the games on Saturday.

The 2024 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Trials were held at Penn State University on Friday and Saturday to determine the qualifiers for the Olympics. Amit Elor, a 20-year-old from Walnut Creek, earned her first Olympic team berth by defeating Forrest Molinari. Elor has emerged as one of Team USA’s premier female wrestlers, having won a world title last year.

Dominique Parrish, hailing from Scotts Valley, also secured her first Olympic berth by defeating a 2012 Olympian. Parrish has also made a mark on the world stage, winning gold at the 2022 World Championships.
