A person died and several others were taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in San Jose Saturday afternoon, according to police.

At around 5:15 p.m., San Jose police said a multiple-vehicle crash around S. White Road and Lieb Ct. left one person dead and several people with serious injuries, who were taken to local hospitals.

As a result, all lanes of South White Road were closed between Story Road and Lochner Drive.
