Man Arrested After Allegedly Killing Wife in San Jose Home Shooting
Police in San Jose say a man was taken into custody Friday after allegedly shooting and killing his wife inside their South San Jose residence.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 400 block of Don Seville Court. Responding officers determined that the suspect had shot his wife inside the home. Authorities arrested him without incident as he was leaving the residence.
Officers discovered the victim with at least one gunshot wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Officials said the woman’s identity will be released by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner. The suspect, who has been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of homicide, has not yet been publicly identified.
The case is being investigated as San Jose’s seventh homicide of the year. Police have not yet determined a motive.
