Suspect Taken Into Custody After Hours-Long Standoff in Downtown San Jose
Police in San Jose arrested a barricaded individual Monday evening following a tense three-hour standoff that ended without injuries.
Officers responded to the 200 block of South Fourth Street to investigate a reported domestic disturbance involving a weapon. During the incident, the suspect locked himself inside a residence, leading authorities to shut down nearby streets.
After several hours of negotiations, police reported around 7:30 p.m. that the individual had surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
