2 Dead, 2 Others Arrested Following Multiple-Vehicle Crash on Hwy. 101 in Sunnyvale

Two women were killed and two others were arrested following a multiple-vehicle crash in Sunnyvale early Saturday morning.

According to officials, the incident involving three vehicles occurred at around 2:45 a.m. on Highway 101 near Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale.

The California Highway Patrol said that a Jeep and a Prius crashed, causing the scene.

After the accident, two women from the Prius got out onto the freeway. That’s when a third driver hit those women, killing them both.

The victims haven’t been identified.

Officials said that the drivers of the Jeep and the Prius were arrested for DUI, while the third driver is not facing any charges.
