If you need an incentive to get vaccinated — you know, besides hugging loved ones again, traveling once more without worrying and returning soon to theaters, stadiums and concert venues — Krispy Kreme has got it:

The chain will give a free Original Glazed doughnut every day in 2021 to anyone who shows a vaccination card showing they’ve receiving the COVID-19 shot.

Every day? Yep, confirmed Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief marketing officer, in an interview with USA Today. “Any time, any day, every day for the rest of the year.” The deal is valid at all 369 shops nationwide; no purchase is necessary.

The year-long timeframe was adopted because there are many people who aren’t yet eligible for a vaccine, he said.

“We wanted it to be big enough to sort of catch people’s attention and spread awareness,” Skena said. “I think anything anyone can do to help show support for those getting the vaccine is a good thing right now and so we’re just trying to do what little we can.”

The chain is also encouraging its workforce to get vaccinated by offering up to four hours of paid time off for employees to do so.
