Classic cars, toys, and community spirit came together Saturday as San Jose car clubs helped spread holiday cheer to families in need.

San Jose City Councilman Peter Ortiz joined local leaders along with the Viejitos Car Club and Boulevard Kings Car Club for the effort. The group spent the day traveling through some of the most underserved neighborhoods in east San Jose, delivering gifts directly to families.

The outreach followed the clubs’ fourth annual toy drive held just weeks earlier in partnership with Ortiz. That event included 10 vendors and live performances by community groups, resulting in the collection of hundreds of toys.
