Santa Clara police were investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning, and they had a suspect in custody, as reported by the police department.

The incident took place around 2:25 a.m. on Tuesday in the 3700 block of Poinciana Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased victim at the scene.

A male suspect has been arrested, and the shooting is currently being investigated.

This marks the second homicide in Santa Clara this year, according to police.
