1 Dead and 1 Injured in Morning Shooting in San Jose
San Jose police are investigating an early morning double-shooting Sunday that left one man dead and another with non-life-threatening injuries, the department said in a release Monday morning.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired at about 3:55 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Umbarger Road, police said. Initial reports said the shooting sent two men to the hospital, but police said the fatal victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other victim self-transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound and was expected to recover, police said.
No suspects were arrested or identified, police said. It was San Jose’s 24th homicide this year.
