Howard Reed, a resident of San Lorenzo, has been accused of two counts of murder by the Alameda County district attorney.

The charges stem from allegations that he shot and killed two individuals, Dorothy Mak and Melanie Zhang, earlier this month at the residence they all occupied together.

Reed was apprehended in Kansas and is awaiting extradition to California to face these charges.
