A Wells Fargo employee was found dead in their cubicle four days after clocking in

A Wells Fargo employee in Arizona, 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme, passed away at her desk, but her body was only discovered four days later. Prudhomme had clocked in at the bank’s Tempe corporate office on Friday, August 16th, at 7 a.m. Her unresponsive body was found by building security on Tuesday, August 20th, prompting them to notify Tempe police, who confirmed her death upon arrival.

The cause of death remains undetermined, with no initial signs of foul play, according to police. A Wells Fargo spokesperson expressed deep sadness over the loss and stated that the company is fully cooperating with the investigation while offering counseling services to employees.

Some employees reported noticing a foul odor in the building on Monday, which they initially attributed to plumbing issues. Prudhomme’s cubicle was located in a remote area on the third floor, away from the main aisle, though the building is monitored 24/7 by security. One employee described the situation as unsettling and suggested negligence might be involved. Another employee noted that many workers on the third floor follow hybrid schedules, which may explain why Prudhomme’s absence went unnoticed for days.

Wells Fargo has not yet responded to further requests for comment.
