Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a gang-related shooting in San Jose
Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a gang-related shooting in San Jose that occurred in June, according to police. The suspects are David Ramirez Salas and Johnathan Hernandez, both 19, and a 17-year-old whose name is withheld due to his minor status.
Authorities are still searching for a fourth suspect, Brian Felix Rojas, 19. The shooting took place on June 7 at a restaurant on Cottle Road. Police were called to the scene following a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had already fled. It was reported that the suspects had an altercation with a man dining at the restaurant with his family, during which one of the suspects allegedly fired a shot toward the family, though no one was injured.
The suspects were later identified, and the shooting was determined to be gang-related. Arrest warrants were issued, and search warrants for the suspects’ homes were executed. During the searches, two firearms with high-capacity magazines and gang-related clothing were seized.
Salas and Hernandez have been booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail, while the juvenile suspect has been taken to Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
