Steph Curry Surprises Young Superfan With Heartfelt Message and Game Invitation

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry made a young fan’s dream come true with a touching gesture that has captured hearts across the basketball community.

Twelve-year-old Wyatt Neus, a devoted Curry fan from Plymouth, Minnesota, recently went viral after showcasing his basketball skills during a student-teacher game. Wearing Curry’s iconic No. 30 jersey, Wyatt—who has Down syndrome—nailed a deep shot from well beyond the arc, mimicking Curry’s signature range. He then celebrated with the NBA star’s famous “night, night” gesture as the crowd erupted in cheers.

The inspiring clip quickly made its way to the Warriors organization, where Vice President of Communications Raymond Ridder ensured Curry saw the moment.

Not long after, Curry responded with a personalized video message for Wyatt, who watched it alongside his parents, Eric and Brooke. In the message, Curry expressed his admiration and extended a special invitation: Wyatt will attend a Warriors game next season when Golden State faces the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Wyatt, who says he has supported Curry since he was a baby, will now have the chance to see his hero in person—turning a viral moment into a lifelong memory.

“It’s just unbelievable,” said Wyatt’s mother, Brooke. “We never imagined something like this could come from a simple video. To see how it’s touched so many people—and for Steph to take the time to respond—is incredibly special.”

When the Warriors visit Target Center next season, the arena will feature at least two sharpshooters capable of hitting from “Curry range”—one of them a young fan whose story has inspired thousands.
