Surge of support for the group responsible for the shirt that led to a Bay Area veteran being removed from a flight

The incident involving a Marine veteran who was asked to leave a Delta Air Lines flight at San Francisco International Airport due to her T-shirt has ignited both outrage and support.

Catherine Banks was preparing to depart from SFO last week when a flight attendant reportedly informed her that her shirt, which read, “Do not give in to the war within. End veteran suicide,” was considered threatening.

As a result, Banks was removed from the plane and permitted to reboard only after changing her shirt.

Since the story gained attention, many have criticized Delta Airlines while rallying behind Banks, expressing a desire to learn more about the message on her shirt.

The shirt is part of the Til Valhalla Project, which uses the profits from selling shirts and other merchandise to establish memorials for fallen service members.

Korey Shaffer, the founder of the Til Valhalla Project, mentioned that the outpouring of support has been remarkable.

“It’s wonderful to see people come together for a cause,” he said. “Our sales of that T-shirt have increased by over 4,000% in just the last 48 hours.”

Banks stated that she has not received an apology from Delta, although the airline offered her a complimentary flight, which she declined.

Delta has announced that it is looking into the incident.
